Whats wrong with windows movie maker?

I finished my whole movie, and saved it yesterday. Now when I opened the file most of the clips are black when I try to watch it, there's only 2 or 3 that work. And I tried to publish it but it says something about source files missing or modified. What do i do? I can't start the project all over again.
