Is anyone aware of why Vampire Diaries isn't airing their next episode until April 7th?

The season isn't over and I'm curious why they are putting a pause between episodes. I know that the last pause was due to Nina getting hurt (her leg broken I believe), and so they weren't able to film or something like that. But what brought upon this pause? I'm really bummed I have to wait an entire month to see the next episode.
