ICS from Vista to Windows 98 Using a cat5 ethernet cable.?

I just installed Win98 on my old computer, I want to connect it to the Internet from my base computer running Vista. I had Linux installed before, where I'd just plug the Ethernet cable from one computer to the other, and I was running Internet on both. Since putting 98 I can't get it too work, I'm sure it's a setting in 98. Could someone help me out?
